Arrival in London: St. Paul’s Cathedral & Tower of London

Upon arrival in London, you will meet your awaiting escort and motor coach and transfer to central London, where your journey begins at St. Paul’s Cathedral. For more than fourteen hundred years, a cathedral dedicated to St Paul has stood at the highest point in the city. The present Cathedral, the masterpiece of Britain's most famous architect Sir Christopher Wren, is at least the fourth to have stood on the site. The three-hundred-year-old building is therefore a relative newcomer to a site which has witnessed Christian worship for over one thousand four hundred years.

From there, visit the Tower of London, ancient London's most historic monument and home to the priceless Crown Jewels. Built in the eleventh century by King Edward the Confessor, the Tower has served as a royal palace, prison, and treasury. It was here that the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton took place on 29th April 2011, a joyous occasion celebrated around the world.

Continue with a panoramic city tour as you pass iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament, before checking into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

You will proceed to the Museum of Methodism (every Tuesday - Saturday, 10.30am - 4pm) and John Wesley’s House (last entry to the House is 2.45pm), exploring the life and ministry of the man who sparked the Methodist movement.

Nearby, visit Bunhill Fields (38 City Road, EC1Y 2BG), the historic burial site of Susanna Wesley, John Bunyan, Daniel Defoe, Isaac Watts, and others. Pause at the Aldersgate plaque, where John Wesley experienced his heart being “strangely warmed,” a moment that ignited the Methodist revival and changed the course of Christian history. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
